Quote of the day...

"...if we are not cautious to avoid the repetition of the error, in our future attempts to rectify and ameliorate our system, we may travel from one chimerical project to another: we may try change after change; but we shall never be likely to make any material change for the better."

Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers No. 26

While this quote is directly related to how one conducts itself after a revolution to secure private rights with the energy of government it is also telling of doing the same thing multiple times expecting a different outcome which we see our government doing with a variety of issues. In it's most simplistic sense the quote is telling us to be careful when attempting to correct a wrong within the form of government we have and to be sure that it will enhance the system and not lead us down a path of continual change without results that actually improve the system.
